A journalist and editor for more than two decades, Darren Elms co-founded Southbay magazine in 2006, a publication created for the beach cities of Los Angeles. During his 20-year tenure as editorial director of Regional Lifestyle Media (RLM), he helped launch Southbay HOME, Southbay HEALTH, Ventura Blvd, TerraneaLife, and Etcetera, while also creating and directing content for Emergent Media brands, including Golden State, Paradise, and SHLTR.

As part of his editorial career, Darren travels extensively, both domestically and internationally, reviewing hotels, resorts, and destinations. In 2023, he joined FORA as a freelance travel advisor, expanding his long-standing relationships with global travel partners. He recently launched a highly curated tour program designed to immerse guests in the history and culture of his favorite destinations. While the list continues to evolve, his ideal getaways include the Côte d’Azur, Berlin, Paris, Palm Springs, Sedona, and most recently, Zermatt, Switzerland.
